I just received these letter openers a few days ago, and right off the bat I discovered that they work great. I recently purchased some of those round top letter openers that are so prolific through the Amazon letter opener listings, and after buying some, I was disappointed to find that they snagged and ripped at the envelope as much or more than they sliced it open. In frustration I tried a different brand, which ended up being these square shaped openers. Immediately I found that they actually sliced open the envelope with no effort or snags at all.
