Waste of money. I’ve been trying to find an aji limo paste on Amazon for months as it’s been impossible as of late to find the paste from Peru that I used previously, and it hasn’t been locally available either. Don’t waste your money. This is definitely not it. It has “limo” in the name. That’s about it.

This is some super hot stuff! I expected that, though. I used some of this in a beef jerkey marinade and the flavor was incredible. VERY hot, but incredible.

This has a decent level of heat. It has a pretty good pepper flavor and not just an overwhelming heat. I added some to a marinade and it came out quite good. This makes it easy to work with and you don’t have to worry about rubbing your eyes from chopping peppers and still get some heat.

What a perfect puree. A little bit goes a long way. If you like it hot, I highly recommend this product!

I was feeling a bit courageous and tasted this sauce unadulterated…and yowza! It cleared up my sinuses nearly instantaneously! (The distinctive aroma of the pepper was immediately noticeable upon opening the jar, so I was forewarned
of its potency in advance.) If truth be told, my tolerance for heat is at about a mild to medium level (relatively wimpy, I know), but it’s all subjective, just the same.
This product consists of pureed pepper and salt without any additional flavoring or preservatives and therefore must be refrigerated upon opening; I appreciate its purity and minimalistic “less is more” approach, as it’s something I strive to find on a regular basis. (When it comes to food, I shy away from anything processed.) The two jars had arrived securely packaged within a form-fitted box, making them perfect for gifting to a hot sauce connoisseur.
I plan to use this sauce as an enhancer for salsas and tomato sauce and will do so sparingly; as for me, a little will go a long way. Feel confident that you’re getting a prize…an all natural, highly-flavorful pepper sauce to enjoy…just proceed with caution.

Has a good pinch of heat and a great smokey flavor. Be aware of the heat tolerance of those eating with you.

I love spicy stuff, it it doesn’t make me sweat it’s not spicy enough. I was so excited when I saw this reaper pepper puree and decided to give it a try. My mom likes spicy too so I decided to get the 2 pack and share it with her.
This Reaper Pepper Puree came well packaged and ready to use. I dipped my spoon into it to give it a try and my goodness it’s so spicy. A small dot on my tongue burned but also tasted really good. While I love spice I also love something with good flavor.
I added 2 spoonfuls to my jar of pickled eggs and let it set for a few days. After 3 days I tasted the eggs and they are spicy but also have good flavor. On Easter I added 1/2 tsp to my deviled eggs and they were delicious. Unfortunately my dad has a finicky stomach and couldn’t handle the eggs.
I love this Louisiana Pepper Exchange Reaper Pepper Puree Sauce. It’s a great spicy addition to eggs or on anything you want a little extra kick with.

This has a good amount of heat with a nice flavor. We use it on kabobs, shrimp, veggies, cajun pasta. It really is quite versatile. Perfect for bbq season.

We created some some amazing fiery hot parmesan chicken with this Red Limo Peruvian Pepper paste by Louisiana Pepper Exchange, and it might be our new favorite way to make chicken parm, especially since our household loves spicy food.
This stuff has an impressively spicy kick. Usually we have to dice up some hot peppers fresh in the kitchen to satisfy our spicy cooking needs, but this paste did the trick. It kind of restored my faith in spicy purees. I can’t tell you how many “spicy” options we’ve bought only to discover they’re basically just “mild” with a bit of hot sauce splashed in.
This stuff is clearly intended to be hot from start to finish.
The biggest giveaway is that as soon as the chicken we coated in this (along with a chili parmesan seasoning) gets in your mouth, you start to feel the heat. It’s not just an afterthought, it’s there from start to finish, while still giving a really good flavor.
Again, that’s very refreshing.
Normally I can say to people with aversions to spiciness that they can still appreciate this, but it genuinely might be more heat than the people who like their salsa “mild” can handle.
***Overall Value***
We were able to thoroughly coat about 5-6 chicken breasts in one jar, and that resulted in a spice that really stuck to the meat.
