Kinda difficult to review this! Bean thread noodles (correct me if I use the wrong term) are a matter of preference! I wanted to try them again…have not had in a long time. I do not hate them at all, but I would choose rice noodles first. I let them sit in the boiled water 3 minutes, as per the instructions. Ermmm…..the texture of the noodles is obviously a bit different. If you cannot or do not want to eat rice or wheat, then give this a try. The broth was pretty good! Not my favorite version but not bad.

The noodles are a little spicy, lemony, and can taste the ginger but they are delicious! I have been on the hunt for these for two years ever since I tried them in Thailand.

I love trying new flavors of instant noodles, and MaMa noodles are usually my favorite. I was excited to try this flavor since I’ve never seen it in my local markets. Shipping was on time, and everything was packaged really well.

These noodles are just what I was looking for. The flavor’s a little hot, but it has that nice sour Thai soup taste. And they cook fast! You can add your own protein (tofu, chicken, pork), vegetables, and you’ve got a one bowl meal! Give it a try!

I paid about $1.20/packet, and am certainly getting my money’s worth. The noodles hydrate and chew very well, and the tom yum flavor is on point (after a couple sugar cubes. Pretty high in salt and MSG, but that’s typical. All in all, a great choice for people who are less enthusiastic about fried instant noodles (MAMA’s rice vermicelli packets are also good for this).
