The best, most delicious mamey I’ve ever had! And if you’re Cuban like me, then you definitely need to make batido de mamey. Thank you Sunset Groves!

I bought this for my boss after he mentioned how much he missed the taste. Arrived timely and well packaged. They fruits were perfect and almost ripe. He ate one as soon as he opened the box and declared it “perfect”. I’m very pleased

I just returned from a trip to my homeland of Cuba. I have not been back since I was 6 years old. I had childhood memories of eating Mamey on a regular basis. Once I arrived I immediately had to have some!!! and WOW! I could only find the frozen version in the States. As soon as I got back I longed for this delicious fruit that I could only find in my Cuba. LOVED it! They were delicious. I was able to make them into a smoothie too.. Thank you for growing these and maintaining a high standard. I will DEFINITELY order these again and only from this grower!!!

Had two orders. First was wrecked. Cardboard saturated in all directions, paper that wrapped each sapote was saturated, stuck to the fruit, fruit exploded 2 of 4. Not seller’s fault. It’s USPS who managed to make this their last package they kicked, shook, stirred in the heat wave.
The second order was pristine. Delicious, ripe, sweet sweet perfection. Million thnx to seller. I appreciate the excellent product.

So mushy you can’t even pick it up without it sliding out of your hand and cracking open more. Picture is when it JUST arrived and I opened the box!

Amazing product! I grew up in Mexico eating this tropical fruit as a smoothie every Sunday. Now, I had to wait several years before finding this in Amazon. Make sure they are slightly soft to the touch before opening them. Just like avocados a hard mamey means it needs further ripening.

Received 4 good size Mameys. They were ripe upon arrival. They must have ripe more in the packaging because they were very soft. Couple of them the mamey skin cracked open a little. But overall, they were well packaged and delicious. My wife tried them and said, they do not need to be made into a smoothie, as they are so soft and deliciously sweet as is.

I’ve ordered this set of 4 sapotes multiple times. The fruits are packed properly (not too much, not too little padding) and it is all shipped very promptly each time. Sunset Groves does a great job of picking high quality fruit at the right level of ripeness to add to every delivery. I typically need to wait 2-3 days before the sapote is ready to eat. Once it’s ready, it is absolutely delicious. I eat it raw and it blows my mind and body each time. I’ll keep buying from Sunset Groves.

The fruits arrived in good shape and ripened within a couple of days. But the flesh was grayish-orange, not orange as pictured or vermillion as some other mail-order mameys I’ve had from south florida. I thought this was just the variety and might not affect the flavor but the fruits had a fairly weak flavor compared to the sweeter and denser-textured fruit I expected. These are a fine choice but there are other growers and fruitstands in South Florida who ship direct who I would recommend instead.
