I had purchased the latest Haakaa version since I used one with my first baby but the new one had this lip on it and it made my breasts feel so sore by the end of the day (I would pump overnight). I switched to this Medela one and it is such a huge relief! It holds a little less than the Haakaa version but I just keep an extra bottle nearby to dump into it into, it’s going in there eventually anyway, and then put it back on. This helps me save so much extra milk and build a such a large stash that I am three months ahead in supply. We had to buy an extra freezer to hold it all and I hope to be able to finish breastfeeding early because I have so much saved up.

I highly recommend having this hand pump. It’s super easy to use, and convenient to have if travelling or can’t use a wall pump. I also tend to get the same amount of milk in half the time of a wall pump.

Easy to use, easy to clean, quick and quiet. Bought this in a pinch and didn’t think I’d use it much but I use it daily. It’s great for the middle of the night when you don’t want to plug anything in. I also used it on the plane and felt comfortable since it’s silent.

When collecting colostrum to bring to the hospital when I had my baby, I opted to use the manual pump to how to collect as much as possible and freeze it in syringes to use in case my milk supply didn’t come all the way in. I opted for this package as well because it included the milk collector which I was hoping for to use as alternative to the haakaa, since the haakaa was much more expensive. But the silicone for the medela milk collector is much thinner than the haakaa, so you do not get as good of a suction and therefore don’t collect as much. I purchased the haakaa in the end to compare the two and the results were night and day. I could easily get at least 2 oz from the side with the haakaa and maybe get half an ounce from the medela. Personally, I have been using the haakaa instead of my electric pump because I’m able to collect pretty much the same amount more efficiently and without all of the parts.

I exclusively breastfed but used this to pump at work, on long car rides (we travel a lot), as my sole pump if needed when traveling, and now I even use it to pump directly into my 6 month old’s baby cereal. This thing is an absolute must, works great, and travels so well without having to carry around a big pump, recharge anything for the hands free pumps, etc. It’s just a wonderful option, and I am only going to have to buy one for my breastfeeding journey. You can pump into the provided container or directly into a storage bag. The Dr. Brown’s bottles (what our baby preferred) don’t make a perfect fit on the pump (not perfectly tight) but stay on well enough to pump right into them!

Pump has great suction, rubber edge on the cone is comfortable and I can control it and go wherever I want with it without being stuck to a cord. Easy to put together and so far it’s been easy to clean. Highly recommend.

I wasn’t going to get a hand pump, but I heard they are able to get a lot more milk out compared to an electric one. I got this and boy oh boy people were right! I pump with one of my electrics then use then as well and I can get at least an additional 2 ounces out. Super easy to put together and use! cleaning is a little difficult but for me personally I think every pump is hard to clean. 10/10 recommend!!!!!!

I had bought one of those momcozy pumps since they were rated well, but I felt it was not taking out all my milk out and was leaving me sore ! I had seen this one on tiktok, and decided to try it out….and wow, I fell in love ! I wish I had this with my other two pregnancies because WOW ! Even though it’s “more work”. I feel like it takes out all my milk and it does not leave me sore! Plus, you don’t have to worry about batteries or charging it when out ! Definitely recommend 👌

I have owned about 6 of these over the last 4 years
Between my two children. I mostly pumped because let’s face it, breastfeeding is really hard. Unfortunately I experienced a lot of painful clogged ducts. I used the spectra mostly and willow at work. But when I needed a quick powerful pump that would suck every drop out and blast a clogged duct, I went for he medela harmony pump. At first the set up and parts are confusing but once you don’t 3/4 times it’s easy and second nature.
Best uses –
* in the hospital if a hospital pumping available
* if you need to pump and do not have the spade, time or electricity to do a machine pump
* if you have a clogged duct
Troubleshooting that helped me-
* always check the yellow piece that goes in the clear rubber stopper inserted into the handle. If the little stem coming off of it doesn’t have a tiny tiny white silicone ring around it, then the pump will not have effective suction.
* Get a back up pack of the silicone rings and the white valve flaps Bc they go missing either down the drain or in the sterilizer.
* use the little holder stand for the assembled pump bc it is too heavy and fall over and spill your milk
Then you will cry. And the only spilled milk you can cry over, is breastmilk
* when you start pumping use the small front part of the handle to do fast strong suction motions for stimulation. Once the milk comes in switch to the longer part of the handle and so slow long pumps. If you have a clogged duct do the long slow pumps while using your knuckles to massage the duct.
* do not put the medela bottle in a bottle warmer. My melted and mutated. And ruined 4 oz of breastmilk. Transfer it into another bottle that you know is okay in the warmer.
* the newer flanges that are more flexible with the white outer rim can get morphed easily with heat and stacking it against other parts. It is also highly annoying to get this flange smoothly into a pumping bra as it keep getting stuck up on the outer silicone ring part.
Also there are annoying things about it, I do feel this is a necessity for every breastfeeding or pumping mom.

I breastfed all of my children and preferred this hand held pump over any others I tried. It seemed to have enough suction to pump comfortably and rhythmically without making me more tender or sore. I used it everywhere. In the car on road trips, in the maternity room at church, at work, at the in-laws..honestly, everywhere and all the time. I purchased this one as gift for my niece who is expecting in a few short weeks because seasoned mommas know comfort and ease of use is key when nursing our babes.
