I LOVE these bamboo paper towels. I started using them when I noticed a brand I bought from Target smelled a little like bleach. I was using paper towels to wipe my face and to cover my food and I didn’t like the idea of using something that smelled like chemical on things that I consumed. So I found these unbleached bamboo paper towels and gave them a try. They were a little expensive, but we don’t use a lot. They’re a little thin, but the perfect thickness if you’re just using them to wipe your mouth while you’re eating. One roll lasts us FOR SO LONG.
So if you’re trying to get away from using paper towels from trees and you don’t use them every time Little Timmy or Susie makes a mess, I highly recommend them!

While I really wanted to like these paper towels, there were too many drawbacks for me to get again.
As far as the positives go, I really do like the idea of something more sustainable and for that this is an excellent idea. I do also like that there is not as many fibers left over if you are cleaning say a TV, phone screen, or other electronics. I used on a couple folding knives that need to not have any residue left over and it worked well in that regard. The other positive is these really are soft. It is very similar to toilet paper with the softness (though this might contribute to it just not being very strong).
The main negative I experienced was the strength. It just doesn’t hold up at all in any of the times using it. It disintegrated if using for cleaning and wasn’t extremely absorbent. It’s nice that it is soft, but if it is this weak it’s not great for me. The other negative is simply the price. I’m happy to pay a bit more for something that performs closely to standard paper towels but at the rough overall price it is too expensive for paper towels for me. If it performed better or was a bit less costly I’d likely consider but both combined mean this can’t be something I continue to get. Hopefully they are improved upon!

These are very soft paper towels and a bit more delicate than I expected. I’m using them to provide moisture/darkness to my trays of seed sprouts and shoots; they work well for that purpose. I don’t think they would be great as an everyday paper towel but I don’t use disposable towels in the kitchen any longer.

Edit of 9/15/2023: I’ve reduced my original review from 4-star to 2. After working with these towels for a while, I’ve come to realize they’re not much use for anything other than dry messes. Now, I don’t know about you, but for dry messes I use a broom and dustpan or the vacuum, not paper towels. Which means they’re basically useless. As soon as they touch moisture, they begin disintegrating. So, I have to use more and more sheets to get the job done. I’m using 8-12 sheets at a time, as opposed to 1-3 sheets of regular paper towels. (Mainly cleaning up cat puke, hence the large number of towels.) Granted, with the bamboo, no matter how many I use, I’m still saving trees, but I’m wasting a butt-ton of money. Money I don’t have to spare. So I’m going to give these a hard pass for now, until they can process the bamboo pulp into something a bit more hardy.
Original review: However, if you want something for basic wiping and cleaning, these bamboo towels will work just fine.
They’re very much like the napkins at a fast food franchise. (You know, where they’ve cheaped out and used single-ply, single-fold squares of paper.) They’re not sturdy, they tear easily and quickly after being exposed to liquid, and for any big spill or mess, it takes a couple of handfuls to get the job done. But they’re ideal for those situations where you need a handy barrier between you and whatever ick you’ve encountered. Rough as they are, I also think they’d be useful for when you need emergency tissue (either for your face or your nether regions).
Since they are bamboo, I don’t have to feel guilty for using several sheets at a time, and I’m always happy for having less guilt about…well, anything. And everything.

They are soft and dust free but you can barely rip them off the paper towel holder they are so thin. I am disappointed considering it’s 20$ for three rolls

I am so pleasantly surprised by these! My first thought when I got them is that the sheets are very thin, so I expected them to disintegrate the second moisture hit them, but these hold up great! They are the perfect, easy solution to cleaning up after my cat, who is throwing up more as she gets older. Gross, sorry, but that’s the main reason I got them. Also, one half-sheet size is perfect as a napkin for messy meals.

I disliked that it would tear uneven and it is so thin. It is not reusable and definitely does not hold a lot of water. I compered it to the dollar tree paper towel and the dollar tree paper towels held more water .If I could put no stars I would I want a refund.

I purchased these because of the touting of the product being “food safe”, since I remove oil from organic Tender and True dog food by pressing it between the safest bamboo paper towels I can find. My dog was poisoned by inhaling “weed and feed” (found to contain 48% Roundup) from a neighbor’s yard on a walk, spent a month in critical care, and almost died. Now she can only metabolize food with a modicum of fat due to permanent damage to her organs.
They are far too thin for my use, as they bond to the food with pressure, and break apart when mopping up even water.
For the money, I really needed them to work, but they do not. I will be removing them from my “subscribe and save”. Very disappointed.
Addendum:1-29-24: I studied the FSC certification. Bamboo with this certification is not pesticide-free. Mother Earth SAYS the towels are organic, but where is the certification for organically grown bamboo? I fear more “green washing” here…how can they be “food safe”?
