I love this phone, changed from Samsung because of price but mostly because of the battery life.
The battery on this Moto phone does last 3 days!!
Unbelievable!

This is a great phone and incredible value. It is on the large size and it fits in a shirt pocket, but not easily and could fall out, so consider if it is too large for you. It is awkward for me, an average size adult male, to hold and operate with 1 hand. It is extremely sturdy and has tremendous battery life. The sound is mostly very good, tho on occasion, when turned to full volume on speaker, there is a bit of an echo. I am hard of hearing so need to do this, most wont need it anywhere near this volume and wont have the echo issue. This has only been a small problem for me even so. The hardward on this phone is better in most ways than phones which cost 3-4x as much. There are 2 areas of concern with it. On rare occasion I have encountered 3rd party apps that will work on Samsung platforms but not on these, which can be annoying it is an app that is important to you. There arent many like that tho. The 2nd area is a larger concern, and that is the fairly limited software support that comes with the phone. I dont have the exact numbers, but its considerably less years of support (OS upgrades, security fixes, etc) than you get with a more expensive phone. There are slightly different versions available, but cost doesnt vary much.

Hi all. I have owned this phone Since Aug 2022. Battery Life is Great. I don’t know where to begin with my Dislikes? Responsiveness of the phone is Sluggish. For about a week now the GPS has been having issues. Android Auto has me Driving through Fields. Map bounces around while on same road. No turns. tonight had me Parked 3 towns from where I was driving. Sometimes WiFi Issues. Would I buy another? Probably NOT. Disappointed with Motorola.
UPDATE 01/10/23. Phone Refuses to Swipe Down to reject Calls. GPS has me Parked 3 Towns from where I am driving. Wifi Refuses to connect. Last Motorola phone I ever buy.
UPDATE 02/07/23. Motorola Tech Support quick Responses. However, They keep repeating a Trouble Chart. Insisting I Factory Reset the phone. Why? Keeps Losing GPS. Has been doing that since Aug. Goggle Calibrate can’t pick up more than 3 Satellites. Software problem causing a Lost GPS Signal on Turns??
UPDATE 02/25/23. Performed Factory Reset as instructed by Motorola. Then the phone kept Rebooting, Freezing. Not enough Memory. Despite having Over 100gb Free. Motorola sent me a FedEx label. It is now enroute to their repair center. I’m using a 4 year old LG V35 which is giving me Less problems.
UPDATE 03/03/23. Motorola performed a Factory Reset. And sent the Lemon back to me. GPS is already acting up. Slow for being an “Octo-Core”. Never buying another Motorola again. Only problem I have with the LG V35 is the Battery life is Short now. At least 4 years old now.

Motorola stopped providing updates, including security updates, for my 2020 Moto G Power, so I felt obligated to replace it. This one, 128 GB in Ice Blue, actually cost less than what I paid for the 2020 model, which had less storage.
Numerous junk apps like TikTok came pre-installed on this phone, but I was able to uninstall them and they seem to stay off (be sure to fully update phone *before* uninstalling/disabling, else they might return). I also disabled a lot of needless Google apps that can’t be removed. Now that the extensive clean-up has been done, I now have a decent phone much like the 2020 Power G I had before — simple and clean, works well with Visible (my cellular provider).
Cons:
1) The dumb two-line clock on the lock screen can be changed — on Android 12L. However, this phone only has Android 12, so we’re stuck with that gaudy 2-line lock screen clock. Fortunately we can choose a sensible clock for the home screen.
2) The OS is a little slower to respond than my 2020 Power G, due to the slower chip (yes, incredibly, this phone has a slower chip than the 2020 model…maybe that is why this newer model was cheaper).
3) Had to uninstall / disable a LOT of junk.
Pros:
1) Color (ice blue is a nice change from my old glossy black one)
2) I’m getting security updates again…for awhile, until Motorola decides to stop providing them for this model too.
3) Relatively inexpensive.
4) Battery life is still good, like the prior model.
5) A little thinner than the older model.

Other than the fact it was left down the street on another neighbor’s front porch to where anybody could have just gotten it, the phone is great I love it I have no problems with it brand new look and I would buy again

The Moto G Power 2022 is my favorite phone. It’s not expensive and it’s a tough phone. I dropped my last one from the roof and it suffered minimal damage. The corner of the screen had a small chip and you couldn’t see it unless I told you where it was. I gave that phone to a friend and liked it so much that I bought another one. I purchased a Moto G Stylus 2020 phone before I bought this one but the speakers gave out and sounded terrible. That phone did not even come close to the Moto G Power and costed twice as much. What I really like about the Moto G Power is that the battery lasts twice as long as the Moto G Stylus which only lasted a half day. I watch a lot of videos about guitar luthier technics. This new phone allows me to watch videos almost all day without having to recharge. I have not found another phone that lasts as long as this one. And I have owned everything from Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus to iPhones to flip phones. The speakers are loud and clear on this phone and it’s small enough to fit in my back pocket. I would recommend this phone and I rarely ever say that about a product. Even my friend who I gave my other phone to loves it and uses it daily. I hope Motorola continues to manufacture this product because I do not see how the other companies haven’t picked up on this technology to make their batteries last longer. So if you want an inexpensive phone that is better quality than some of the other phone which cost twice more, but it while it’s still available. That’s my two cents.

Whats not to like. The worst thing about most phones is the short battery life. This lasts forever, or almost. Got it for next to nothing and the only negative is that it came with a lot more junk that I had to remove, than my previous one (that was otherwise perfect. Just bought the pixel 7a and kept it two months, then gave it away to return to the Moto G Power 2022.

Overall, this Motorola smartphone worked well for me and maybe not quite as good as a Samsung mid-range smartphone, it still was good. Storage in my case was 64 GB internal. I did add 128 GB of external storage with a micro SD card and this phone has a micro SD card slot in the same tray as the SIM card uses. Fingerprint reader on back side of phone worked quite well, you can play basic games just fine with this smartphone, it has 4 GB RAM for that kind of stuff. Cameras are not that good compared to my Samsung mid-range smartphones, you can tell a big difference in photo qualities. If you want just basic outdoor photos, the Motorola smartphone camera will do OK. Video qualities are quite good though with this unit. Phone calls are good qualities and really never had any major or even minor issues with this smartphone. Battery life is at around 1 or 2 days, depending on how much I used the phone for calls, playing basic games or just taking photos/videos during that time frame. If you need a decent phone for calls, good videos and basic outdoor photos and play basic games just fine, this phone will do you just fine. This phone is a 4G smartphone, not a 5G. Some descriptions on Amazon states “5G” and it’s actually a 4G smartphone. Get a good heavy duty case to protect this phone and screen protector too and this Moto G Power phone will most likely last quite awhile.

Bought to replace my Samsung Galaxy s10e that unexpectedly died last fall (answered a call, set it down, picked up ten minutes later phone was a useless brick that wouldn’t power on, charge, nothing; I tried EVERYTHING). So I bought this as a cheaper alternative replacement and was pleased indeed despite the learning curve of a new device.
It’s got a great camera, and battery life has been excellent (provided I don’t use a ton of super sucker apps that are known to eat battery charge). It has an overcharge protection feature, too, to extend the overall battery life, which is nice although it does mean it won’t fast charge unless you manually override the setting if that’s important to you. It doesn’t have a built-in music player app (like Samsung music), either, so that bummed me out at first. Otherwise it’s comparable to a newer Samsung s21 in every way and I haven’t had a single issue or complaint.

I own 4 of these phones and they are all great. No problems with any of them. The battery lasts forever even when in use. They don’t seem to lag or have any problems. Memory size is great and yeah… Pretty decent phone. At first I was worried because I went to a more ghetto Verizon store and the guy there didn’t know how to get it to register in the Verizon system. I went to the better and more popular Verizon store and they had no problems at all activating them. The price is right and the quality is right. No complaints. Just buy it (and don’t take it to the ghetto locations)!
