I have a good amount of food stored for emergencies. Out here in the woods, the power goes out at least a few times a year. Mostly during the winter, due to trees falling over and knocking down power lines. We have a wood stove so cooking is not an issue. But for long term storage, I try to lay in a good variety of food to cover all meals and snacks.
Freeze dried is a way of preserving for the longest term. I am stocking up more as I go as prices are getting ridiculous.
So when I had the chance to order freeze dried fruit, I went for it.
I’ve eaten and, at times, made my own dehydrated food, but have not had the chance to try a lot of freeze dried.
I do have some freeze dried meat in large cans in my long term area. And right now a pound of the chicken is at 46.00.
This fruit, at 3.70 an oz. comes in at almost 60.00 per pound.
I tried all the flavors. First straight out of the pack, then added a few drops of water and let sit for 3 minutes.
The bananas had the most flavor and the best texture when re-hydrated. And were great out of the pack.
The peaches were pretty good out of pack. Mushy when water added.
Mango good out of pack, okay in texture with water.
Dragon fruit not much flavor. Mush with water.
Figs not real sweet, pretty good texture with water.
Apples made me sad as there was hardly any flavor, mushy with water.
Although some were good out of pack, they were not as sweet as I thought they would be. With everything being condensed I thought there would be a burst of flavor.
So that being said about the taste and texture, along with the price, I would not recommend.

Well I really wish I could tell you how great they tasted; however, from the time I opened the box and got them arranged in the panty, they started disappearing! Both my kids and my husband thoroughly enjoyed these and they were all gone within a week. They ate them as snacks and packed in their lunches so that’s about the highest star review for me for my picky family.

I was very pleased with two aspects of this fruit set. 1) The packages are not HUGE like some other dried fruit, which means I can easily throw one in with a lunch without worrying about wastage, and 2) I really love that there are some new flavors -like FIG, and DRAGONFRUIT- which I have NEVER seen before.
My daughter loves these new flavors along with her absolute flavors of Apple and Bananas. As she didn’t like ALL of the flavors (e.g. Mango) I think I will try to buy a separate set next time, but will definitely be looking for this brand.

I didn’t like this product. The packages were small. It is hard to tell how much fruit they started with but each package help about 1/4 cup of dried fruit. It wasn’t chewy or anything I have had before. It was very, very, dry and you could actually break the pieces apart. The variety of flavors was good, but I didn’t care for the Dragon Fruit, although the peaches flavor and banana flavor were better. The texture was bad. I will not purchase this again. Way overpriced for what you get. Maybe a snack for babies to suck on,

Our family loves freeze-dried treats! I had somewhat high hopes, and for the most part, we weren’t let down.
There are 12 pouches (2 of each) Dragon Fruit, Mango, Apple, Fig, Peach, and Banana. I appreciate the attractive and clear packaging, especially the nutrition labels being per package. The pouches are not resealable, so if you don’t finish one, make sure to seal it in something else.
Our family loved the banana. It does have the most sugar… but it was awesome. This was followed by the apple and then dragon fruit. All were great, especially if you let them sit in your mouth for a few seconds. Super yum.
The peach was pretty good but didn’t blow us away. But still good. The mango was a let down – just lacked the flavor and any sweetness. The fig, well… we let the dog finish them. And we LOVE figs (2 fig trees in the yard) but just could not finish these.
Obviously, tastes are subjective so your thoughts may vary. Overall, this is a nice package of freeze dried fruit and a good value for the price, even though we weren’t a fan of them all.

High price for very small portions. The taste does not encourage wanting to eat more.

I wish I knew this was a product of China before purchasing. Not eligible for return.

Luckily I bought them foe my sugar gliders but they are to expensive to repurchase for such small amount .

I wish there were more in each pack but it’s a serving. These are tasty, healthy, and very convenient. The price is a little more than I would like to give but I do think it’s fair when comparing similar brands. I like that these are just natural fruits without all the added sugars and ingredients. These are very crispy but melts nicely as you chew them. I like all the flavors so I think it’s a good mix. These are definitely a better choice than sugary snacks for kids or yourself. Each bag tears open easy enough. Good tasty product.

Features:
This is a case of assorted freeze-dried fruit snack packs, there are 12 packs, 6 flavors per case. I haven’t tried all of them yet, but the apple and peach tasted great for me, I can only describe it as a sour sweet taste. The dragon fruit tasted very subtle. I do like the form factor this comes in, in a fast paced life, sometimes there just isn’t any time to wash peel and consume a serving of fresh fruit. This resolves that, and is extremely convenient for kids. With that said, I am not an expert and do not know what freeze drying does to the nutrition value of fruit, just assuming it is going to be similar.
Each pack looks like it contains at max 1 regular sized apple/peach, maybe 1/2 or 1/4 for things like a mango or dragonfruit, weight is 0.35oz. The closest thing that comes to mind that describe its texture is cheese puffs.
Quality:
The fruit is non GMO with no sugar added, probably not organic if that’s what you’re looking for. Gluten free.
Price:
$16.99 per box so $1.5 per pack. My family usually just eat fresh fruits but for those who don’t got the time, then this might be worth it.
