Love the tooth brush. Just what I wanted and needed. Using it is a breeze the shape of the brush makes it easy to use. The reason for the 4 stars is veto g if apart to put the batteries was a hard task. Almost yo thd point ic sending it back. The two areas you squeeze to get it open was impossible . I tried off and on fot hours. Finally aske some one else. They struggled two but finally managed to get the area open.

In my original review I gave it 1 star and mentioned how it started to inexplicably malfunction after only a month of use.
After additional troubleshooting, turns out, it was the battery. I had put brand new Duracell batteries in this thing when I got it, but it uses more power than other models I’ve used in the past. Thus, you have to change it out more often. I would say Duracell batteries run down in this device after a month of twice-daily use. Might be even shorter for cheaper brand batteries.
When the battery is low it will turn on and off while you’re brushing. It will also do that twitching thing randomly that it is only supposed to do when the 2 minute timer runs out. It only happens when the battery is low. I’ve tested this several times now and as soon as I put in a new battery, it works perfectly again.
So, it isn’t a malfunction like I originally thought, but there was no way I would’ve known that if I didn’t troubleshoot. Changing my star rating to 5 stars since it does the job and makes it easier to know if I’m brushing for the dentist recommended 2 minutes.

After a month, the toothbrush no longer spins. I noticed a few times that once the timer activates (where it’ll vibrate for a few seconds) it would malfunction and stop spinning for a few seconds. But now, even after replacing the heads and troubleshooting, it continues to malfunction.

I had purchased a more expensive electric toothbrush recently that vibrated 40,000 times per minute, but it caused my filling to come out on a front tooth (I had to go to my dentist to have it fixed). The high speed brush was also uncomfortable how it felt when in use. I returned the product. I like this Oral B toothbrush much better! It vibrates slower, but is pleasant to use. It doesn’t have a timer, which I don’t need anyway. Simple is better! The speed on this Oral B brush is perfect in my humble opinion. The speed is still high enough to get the job done. It works great and is simple to use. I recommend this toothbrush and think it is a really nice product.

it’s very effective since I’ve been using these models for a long time. the only downside is that they do not last long and simply stop working at some point. wish they were more robust and long lasting.

For such an inexpensive battery-powered toothbrush, it works great! The first time I used it, it felt like I had gotten a professional polishing at the dentist’s.
There are no instructions on using the timer, but the brush is quick and easy to use. I’m not sure how long the battery life is, but it’s sure to last a long while.
If you want to go a step above regular brushing without paying a lot, this is the way to go.

The dentistal hygenist really like how my tooth and gums are doing after using the toothbrush for a while. Very little plaque or staining, and the toothbrush is not as noisy as my previous electric toothbrush. It still makes a noise, but it’s not as obnoxious. And I like the rotary action better than the vibrating style.

I have been using the rechargeable toothbrush for at least 20 years. While those tooth brush don’t need to replace battery, they have been a pain to use due to the need to constant charging. I decided to get rid of them and purchase this one instead. Boy, what a joy! I have been using it for a week now, and there is not even a sign the battery is weak. Since it uses normal batteries, I also don’t need to bring my charger whenever I travel. Love it!

We have used Oral-B rechargeable tooth brushes for decades, so when we travel we want to continue with the same brushing system. This battery operated tooth brush is only slightly less powerful than the expensive rechargeable model and is perfect for travel. First it takes disposable AA batteries. So this means you don’t have to pack a charger when you travel, and if the batteries should wear out while you are traveling (unlikely) you can easily get another pair at almost any store. The other advantage is that you can (and should) remove the batteries when you store it before your next trip. You would not want to store a rechargeable toothbrush in this way because if the rechargeable batteries self-discharge over time and modern rechargeable batteries will refuse to take a charge if they run down beyond a certain level.
For travel we use this handy container which can hold this tooth brush handle, two heads, and a tube of toothpaste with ease.

overall, it works fine for me. and small enough to travel with. the battery cover is very difficult to get off. i had to pry it off (using instructions and pushing in knobs as directed) to get it off. hopefully the batteries will last a long time.
