I use plant milk mostly for tea or coffee lattes, as well as for baking. I received a sample of this brand to review and was excited to do so because I love using oatmilk, since it is the most environmentally-friendly choice in plant milks. The added chia seed is a nice bonus too. This milk has a nice, creamy texture that works great for lattes and is nice to drink plain too. Importantly, it does not separate in coffee like some other types of plant milks do (oat milk is typically the best in coffee). Although this milk is labeled as unsweetened, it’s actually sweetened with monk fruit. So it does have a sweet taste, but it has no added sugar. Since it’s sweet-tasting, I wouldn’t recommend using it in savory cooking. But I very much like it for any other uses.

This oat milk has a really nice taste to it. It’s smooth, creamy, and although labeled as unsweetened, it does have a hint of sweetness. I think it’s the monk fruit extract in the ingredient that’s contributing to the sweetness. I have the typical oat milk brand at home and did a nutrition facts comparison. This oat milk is not only lower in calories, but also has omega-3 and 0% saturated and trans fat. It’s much healthier than the typical brands you get from the grocery store. I love how this oat milk has chia seeds added to it. I typically drink coffee only for breakfast and since getting this oat milk, I like using it to make my latte so that I don’t have to add additional syrup and it keeps me full and energetic.

The most important thing to me is taste and drinkability, and I am glad to say this is a very drinkable milk alternative. There is no weird aftertaste, no oily mouthfeel, and no chalkiness. It tastes primarily of Oat, but is not overpowering as some oat-based milks are. It is surprisingly sweet, and in an unexpected way. The sweetness is tasted at the beginning of this sip and towards the front of the mouth, which I am not used to. However, despite the initial surprise, this does not bother me! The milk is not cloying, and the sweetness does not taste artificial or linger in the mouth in the way that a sugar-alcohol might. Overall it is good and easy to get used to.
Aside from drinking alone, this milk has proven itself as versatile, successfully making lattes and cappuccinos, and even a cake! The milk is also a pleasing color, not too brown or yellow or green–it looks like milk!
From the way the milk is marketed, I was expecting it to contain more protein, but that’s not really a complaint. Otherwise, I am thrilled by the low sugar content, the included fiber, and the USDA Organic certification. I would certainly consider buying this product again.

I used this milk for a few different applications.
1 – vegan pancakes. This milk worked well and actually thickened up to make a vegan buttermilk substitute when I added apple cider vinegar. This doesn’t happen with Oatly brand, so it actually made fluffier pancakes.
2 – vegan hot chocolate. This milk was nice and creamy and rich, perfect for a mug of hot chocolate.
3 – coffee. This was my only application that I was not crazy about. I think the monk fruit extract had a bit of an aftertaste. However, I still give the product and overall 5 stars because of it’s performance in the other items I used it for and the fact that it’s organic.

Best vegan milk!! I don’t usually drink milk alone but to my surprise I actually liked this one; smooth, sweet, creamy, almond taste. It goes great in my coffee every morning…it blends great with no separation. I have more conscientious of what I put in my body and the ingredients in this milk are very wholesome. The combination of almonds and chia seeds give this product amazing health benefits such as antioxidants, fiber and omega-3 with no sugar. Looking forward to using Lechia in my protein shakes and overnight oats! Highly recommend this milk alternative.

I am new to switching up my diet to foods and beverages that are better for me. I had no idea
that your health and what you choose to eat and put into your body go hand and hand. I have
a newfound lactose sensitivity and regular milk even mixed in with foods, can cause a plethora
of uncomfortable gut problems for me. I recently started using Almond Milks as an additive to
my favorite foods that contain milk, and it is a gamechanger for me! Lechia was no different! I
added it into my White Chicken Lasagna Soup recipe, and I was able to go back for seconds
without feeling overloaded by the heaviness of dairy products. It was a terrific addition to my
morning coffee as well: it helped with the intensity of the coffee and made it easier to digest!
As a Mom I also like that I can put it into recipes for my kids and they do not know that it is
good for them.
