All pork, no nitrites, or nitrates.
These four-inch-long pork sausage snacks do not contain Nitrates or Nitrites as preservatives. They use citric acid and salt instead. These sausages taste a bit salty (410mg for 2 sausages), but beyond that, they taste a bit bland. They taste different, like vegetable soup, and they are an acquired taste. Duke has no MSG or high salt content. Both the original and the spicy are excellent. I love the tall boys but they are a little out of my price range right now although they are worth it. Love Dukes jerky!
