We have a small container on our countertop that we put compost in. It gets filled about every 2 days, these bags work perfectly. I would buy more once we run out.

The bags fit nicely on our countertop bin and are sturdy, however, even on the days when we have the least scraps, it is a challenge to knot the bag. Oftentimes I use a second bag to tie around the top, as a cord. Next time I’ll try the same aize with handles.

I bought these because my current basket broke. I thought the image suggested I would get a new basket with this order. I did not receive one.

I use these in my countertop compost bin to store food scraps, and they work great. Mess-free and sturdy.

Bags are easy to tear off the roll without tearing the next bag. That had been a problem with previous brand I bought. These are sturdier, thicker bags (but not too thick).

As a Vine reviewer, we don’t always get to see much beyond the title and brief description, in this case: “Reli. Compost Bags 2.6 Gallon (150 Count) | ASTM D6400 | Compostable Trash Bags for Food Scraps | Small Compost Bags for Kitchen Compost Bin/Countertop Bin | Green, Eco Bags for Food Waste, 2.6 Gal” as the title.
It is only upon receiving the product, and digging pretty far down into the description of the product, that I found that “Our eco-friendly bags are compostable in municipal & industrial composting facilities”. I initially felt that this was a mistake on my part, and perhaps that’s the standard for compostable bags…something so common that it wasn’t worth mentioning in the title…only my check of a few other bags being sold showed that the majority were marked as breaking down perfectly fine in home composting systems.
Besides that, the bags themselves seem nice and solid. Unfortunately, I’m unable to use them for the home composting purposes I had intended, so their exact long term use remains to be seen as we’re testing them in dry bathroom trash cans.
Overall, they seem to be pretty good quality for bags, but the lack of disclosure up in the title to clarify that these are NOT home compostable like the similar bags seem to mostly be was a disappointment. Attempting to rate these fairly, and assuming more time to research before purchasing, these seem nice for their purpose and in the price range of other similar quantities of compostable bags.

actually sturdier that we had expected!

Easy to dispense, perfect fit to the bin, and – most important – BIODEGRADABLE! Let’s save our planet!

This is the third composting bag I have tried. It is thicker than the first two, which for me is a definite plus. The previous one I purchased was okay, but as I got towards the end of the roll, all of the bags were torn. Here’s hoping that doesn’t happen with these. I will update.

Disclaimer: I did receive this item for free to try out. HOWEVER! All opinions are my own and I pride myself on unbiased reviews that can help others decide whether something is worth it.
These are about 16.5” x 16.5”. This is for a whopping 150 bags in the box. Supposedly they are biodegradable which is awesome! They are pricey but not tooo bad if you’re looking for biodegradable bags for your compost/trash bins. These will fit small bins very nicely! They are tapered on the very bottom so these work best with the round bins instead of the square or rectangle ones. They’ll still fit but these definitely fit the round bins like a glove. Quality is nice! It’s not super thin or anything. Definitely didn’t rip when I opened it and I do have decently long nails. It works well! The are fairly thick and they FEEL super nice. Like really smooth and nice lol. They do come out to about $0.12/bag though so it is pricier than your average plastic trash bags. It’s not too bad though and I do think it’s worth it for the fact that it’s better for the environment! Also, these are just simple bags. There’s no way to really tie it aside from knotting it up top so keep that in mind. If you fill these bags up all the way you won’t be able to tie it off for disposal.
