Oh, how I love these bags! We are a family of plant based eaters. Before I got these bags, we found ourselves tossing out spoiled produce almost weekly. Now, when we receive our weekly order, I place the tomatos, potatoes, apples. avacados, onions, peppers, etc in their bags. I hang them on hooks in a dark, cool corner and we no longer waste produce. We don’t have to dig to find what we want and everything stays nice and fresh. The bags are sturdy enough to hold even the heavy veggies. They will always have a place in our kitchen.

I thought I would try these net bags because I was looking for something to store cabbage and perhaps other fruit and vegetables in that was better than plastic and would be reusable. When they arrived, I washed and air-dried them and then put a whole organic red cabbage plus an uncut section of another cabbage in one bag, naval oranges in a second one, and whole beets in a third. After 10 days, the cabbage was still in perfect condition, and the cut piece had no brown edges as they usually develop when stored in plastic. The beets are also hard and perfect, including the attached greens. The oranges are great, too. These are much better than plastic bags, and are reusable. Why I had to rate “sheerness” I’m not sure, but although you can’t see completely through them because the netting is fairly thick and strong, you can easily see that one bag contains cabbage and another oranges. 5 stars.

The bags are very versatile and help organize the vegetable and fruit bins in the refrigerator.
