Our clam strips are perfect to serve as an appetizer or a main entrée. COOKING INSTRUCTIONS PAN FRY OR DEEP FRY Do not thaw. Cook from frozen. Simple Preparation Instructions: For best taste and texture, pan fry or deep fry the clam strips. Oven: 1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Remove breaded clams strips from package and arrange in single layer on baking sheet. 2. Place sheet on middle rack of oven and back for 14-16 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F. Fry: 1. Preheat fryer to 350°F. Remove breaded clam strips from package and place in fryer. 2. Fry for 1-1 1/2 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F. CAUTION: Contents will be hot. Heating times are approximate. They will vary due to the make, model and temperature calibration of your stove or fryer.

I was SO excited to get this! It is now impossible to get clam strips where I live, no idea why. So….I was angry when the package came by UPS, NO ice and inside the cooler it was actually HOT. My husband checked the temp. inside the little cooler with his handheld thermometer and it was 91! We have been in triple digits in DEEP south Texas this summer. My weather station says it’s 104 today, our heat index is 119. It is HOT almost everywhere, you need to use a smaller cooler so it can be filled with ice and the frozen food!!! I would NOT even attempt to order this in the winter after the way this was shipped!

These are like a blast from the past, they remind me so much of the fried clam strips at Howard Johnson’s which I loved growing up. Fry them up or put them in the oven. But like any clam strips just don’t over-cook them or they will be tough and rubbery.
As far as taste and flavor they are great! In fact I recently ordered the Admiral’s Meal from Red Lobster and I have to say these beat those hands down.
I will say though, delivery can be problematic. The first time I ordered these I ordered 3 but received 2. They reshipped another box but because they don’t give you a specific date they sat in my building’s lobby baking in the sun for 3 days before I even knew they had arrived. On my second order they arrived 4 days ahead of schedule which was great of course unless of course I happened to be away. Fortunately I wasn’t.
When ordering these watch your order page like a hawk as sometimes you don’t get the notification in the app that they have been delivered.
