These are not dessicated, they are still a little moist but don’t require refrigeration … at least mine haven’t after about 2 months in my pantry.
They taste like the essence of tomato. I know that sounds weird, but its true. I ran out of carrots (the bad cooks best friend) and substituted these (I had used too much cayenne). Worked like a charm. The taste of the chilli was a little strange (these have a MUCH stronger flavor than carrots), but it was good.

I purchased this product about 6 weeks ago. Absolutely, it is better than the ones I buy in small (8oz) packages at the local Shoprite grocery store. Initially, I was concerned about the size of it since I am a single male person and I only use this product to make tomato spread for breakfast. I have my own recipe that I developed in which I use variety of lots of herbs, spices, and olive oil. I am a Mediterranean. Sometimes, my dinner is similar to my breakfast with cheese, olives, sliced cucumbers and tomatoes served over a few thinly sliced fresh homemade bread with dried tomato paste next to a cup of tea or coffee. The product is fresh, very tasty and definitely a lot cheaper.

These tomatoes are well packaged to keep them soft and easy to use, no pre-soaking. The flavor is robust if a tiny bit salter than I’m used to, but recipe adjustments are easily made. Having dried my own tomatoes I think these are a good value for price. I will order again.

I bought some from traders Joe’s which tasted very good so I figured let me get a big bag at once since TJ is pretty far away from where I live. I decided to buy this brand but it doesn’t taste anywhere near plus it’s made in turkey and they are not dry. I wouldn’t buy again.

It is so convenient to have these sun-dried tomatoes during the off-season for growing any tomatoes in the garden. You can just take out exactly whatever you need for a soup or salad and then seal back of the package and put in back in the refrigerator. No messing with cans. By themselves, their flavor is not like fresh tomatoes, but in a soup or salad it does quite nicely. The nutritional value is good.

The julienne cuts are great in cooked recipes. These are tasty and easy to use. Fresh tomatoes are always best, but I don’t always have time to go to the store. Other dried tomatoes have had the texture of leather. These are “chewy-soft.’

We purchased our bag on August 5, 2020, and ate them on salads until we ran out, with no moldy or smelly drama. But, when it came time to reorder in early 2021 (that’s a lot of salads), the reviews, the fluctuating price, and existential concerns about using Amazon’s “return” policy caused us to purchase dried tomato strips from a more reputable supplier (since pounds of dried tomato strips at a reasonable price are now going to be a part of our lives.)
Yes, I am surprised to find myself using the phrase “reputable” here, but there it is – Amazon is not vetting the inconsistent contents of sealed retail packages from Turkey, they’re using an algorithm to balance customer reviews and returns with their profits. Although I despise blind obedience to name brands, they do have some value; many Amazon brand names are value-free, and I felt a private label had more value than SUNBEST, even if the tomatoes come from the same processing plant, since that private label does have a stake in what’s inside their packages.

Be sure to read the ingredients. There are multiple preservatives than can affect your health and the health of your gut microbiome.

Good buy. Lots of dried tomato for the money. I use them on pizza’s, pasta sauces. Pesto and sun dried tomato gnocchi.

This product is described as “dried” tomatoes, but they’re still pretty juicy. More like half-dried. I broke the amount down into smaller bags that I keep in the freezer, and ended up dehydrating a large amount of them in my oven.
Good value for the amount and flavor is good. But not sure I would buy again because of the extra work
