These are strong and sturdy. I use them for scooping cat litter box. They hold in odors and are less costly than the ‘pet bags.’ I also use them to throw out old foods in the fridge. I like that they have handles and are biodegradable!!! Will def order again….

In trying to reduce our plastic use, I was seeking a compostable bag to use for small trash and counter compost bins. These work perfectly. They are durable and do not tear holes easily, so they keep their contents. The handles are large enough to tie up the bag up tight when done. They do not have a scent which is really nice. Made of plant material and compostable in commercial facilities, these were exactly what I needed.

When they say compostable they really mean it! These bags sure beat cleaning the yuck out of the compost bin, but beware! You must change them every three days or guess what?! They start to compost!

These bags seem well constructed. No problems with leaks or tearing. They’re a little small for my needs. They fit my kitchen waste container, but just barely. Same with the bathroom waste basket that I use when I scoop the litter box. They have good points, they’re just somewhat surprisingly small. I think we need to be cautious about assessing the size of our receptacles. It’s good to specify a half gallon or gallon extra when ordering liners.

I like the handles so it’s easier to tie and throw away. Also, it allows the compost bucket hooks for the compost bag to stay in place and not fall when throwing away kitchen scraps.

This bags does the job they are supposed to do. Contain the compost.
There is ‘no’ issue with tearing off a bag when you need it – not sure what the complaints are about that aspect…???
Then, what I do is, after putting stuff in the bag, I twist the bag and leave that top part hanging outside of the container and put the lid on. Helps to trap the odor.
My only mistake was in buying these 1.6 Gallon Compostable Bags. Even this size was a bit too small for the 1.3 Gal compost container. Will likely buy 2 gal size bags in the future.
The container is a square and the bag, as it fills up, drops the height – so, if you plan on being careful and ‘only’ want stuff in the bag, you’ll need to get a larger compost bag.
And – no leaks noted after using several bags…

Our city requires us to now throw food scraps in the green bin and so we bought a smaller bin for the kitchen. These bags are great to keep the bin clean and there are many bags in a box so they are a great value and don’t take a lot of room.

I use these little bags for cat litter box cleaning, and also for cat food cans and old paper plates of used cat food so they don’t go directly into the trash. They are handy, and can take quite a bit of weight before using a new one. I like that they are compostable and won’t last forever in the land fills.
