Terrasoul Superfoods Organic Apricots, 2 Lbs, Unsulphured, No-Added Sugar, Sweet and Tangy Delights for Snacking, Baking, and Vibrant Trail Mixes

I understand that sun-dried, unsulfered apricots turn dark, but my bag of apricots some of those brown/black apricots had a white mold growing in the fold of the fruit. Besides that, the apricots were totally tasteless! It’s now 5 days before Christmas and I have to run out and find apricots at my local rural grocery (not an easy thing to do), or drive 50 miles to the city. Never again!

For years I have tried dried apricots and was always disappointed. I think maybe it was the sulfur. They never tasted good. I had given up. But since I liked Terrasoul’s figs and dates I thought I would give their apricots a try. They have a really good flavor and are soft and easy to eat. They are not the pretty orange color of other dried apricots (that taste terrible). So don’t be put off by the color, which is a brownish to darker brownish color, the taste and texture is really good. You will enjoy eating these apricots. I put 5 stars for value for the money, because I have wasted so much money on dried apricots that are just not good tasting. So I don’t mind spending money on something I can enjoy.

So tender, moist and flavorful.
Difficult to just eat one. 😉

After getting a bit tired of granola and energy bars, I started looking for new snacks that would be good at home or out on the hiking or bike trails. Terrasoul has been my go to brand for quinoa for quite sometime so I went back and browsed through their product pages and stumbled upon these Apricots. While they are a bot more pricey than some other quick and easy snack food like energy bars they taste so much better and are a pleasure to eat.

They have a wonderful taste, a great texture and are sun dried, organic and not full of sulfur. They make a great alternative to regular packaged snacks and it is a lot easier to share them with others out on the trail than a little granola bar. If you are eating them at home with a full bag in front of you, it is easy to get carried away and go through a lot more of the bag than you planned.

This is a great product, a great snack and they are incredibly delicious!

I do love them, but I hydrate in Apricot juice. Love to add to cakes, cookies & savory dishes too.
