I have used subscribe and save for these dates for a long time since my husband enjoys them in his oatmeal every morning. Typically I may find a couple that are dry, or moldy, so you need to check each date carefully. The last couple bags were completely dried out and I couldn’t find a way to reach Terrasoul, so I called Amazon. While they could not replace my dried out bag of dates, they did refund my money, so I guess this review is also for Amazon’s customer service. They get 5 stars. Terrasoul gets 3.5 stars.

These dates are fantastic. Moist, truly have a caramel taste to them. Love them. And the 2 lb. resealable package is thick with a good ziplock that will easily last the numerous openings and closings until they’re gone. Will be buying again.

My first bag was perfect! The dates looked great so when I ran low I ordered another bag. That second bag looked old and the dates were had a white film on them. They weren’t bad or moldy, the seal just wasn’t great. I used them with no issues. I’m still going to order these again, 🤞they’re like the first bag. They are good and pretty large.

I love dates and these are great. Value is awesome for the amount you get and about 9/10 of them are perfectly fine. I had a few dates that were not very good. The pic is an example of one. It had some little worms in it. In Terrasoul’s defense I’m not sure how they’d be able to separate bad dates from good ones. They look almost identical from the outside. My advice is open them up first and check the texture and color. The bad ones are pretty different on the inside. Not to mention they taste funny.
Again, I think these are a great value so I’d recommend if you like dates. They can be pricey. But had to take a star down due to the quality of some.

While I’m no date-rating expert, I do buy about 30-50lbs a year as a staple of our home diet. I question the ‘extra fancy’ rating of these dates as they were quite smushed and pasty—which makes rating them difficult—but still, the taste was great. —-I’d just hoped they’d had been a little more firm.
But pound for pound and dollar for dollar, give them a shot, they are a quality date at a solid price. —would purchase again, especially if I’m using them as a sweetener for dessert dishes like cocoa-date truffles, to which, these would be an EXCELLENT choice as their consistency would mix perfectly and easily.
