Completely natural, this clear, amber-colored sauce is the liquid that runs off of small fish, which are packed in wooden barrels with salt and fermented for a few months. Frequently used in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, it is often added instead of salt when a more complex flavor is required. Fish sauce is also a valuable dietary asset, high in protein and B vitamins.

Good fish sauce, not the best but very good.

I’ve always used this brand and so does my Thai sister-in-law who is the best cook ever! The price is the clincher. You can’t go wrong with Squid Brand!

it was what i needed

Good product seasoning

I use this fish sauce 90% of the time… cooking. It’s perfect for that flavor/cost ratio.
I use another, fancier, for dipping but really, when that runs out, I might just go this brand 100%.

This is exactly the fish sauce I used to buy in my nearest Asian grocery.

This is a decent brand middle of the road fish sauce. Much better than some, not top shelf, but not a bad option at all. Some of the lower priced fish sauces are just watered down, barely any flavor. It works fine for my recipes. I would buy this again, for sure.
Captain Awesomeness –
I have added a bit too much before, but so far it has worked well with Bella mushroom slices, Basmati rice, and with baking salmon (photo 1).
It did arrive a bit disheveled with the cover a bit unhinged looking but so far I have no complaints and believe this is going to last a very long time given how salty just a little bit of it is.

I’ve bought the competing “premium” brand (hint, rhymes with “Ted Coat”). It’s good, don’t get me wrong. But not 3x good as this one when comparing price. This is a good authentic (IMO) and good value fish sauce that gets the job done for Pad Thai and other fish sauce requiring asian dishes.
And while Amazon seemingly doesn’t like you mentioning how it arrives vs just rating the actual product, I just ordered a bottle and it had multiple layers to ensure it arrived pristine, so 5* for packaging as well.

Have used this fish sauce before when bought semi-locally and it was very good. Unfortunately when ordered from Amazon the bottle arrived broken. Neither the post office, nor my co-workers were particularly pleased with it’s arrival as it’s rather pungent. Since it’s a glass bottle, I doubt that I will order it again but instead buy it elsewhere. The seller did refund me, so no issues there.
