I have had a difficult time finding fresh lemongrass locally. I decided to order this product, although the reviews were mixed. I figured if I even got two stalks that I could plant, I’d be happy because they multiply so quickly. Well, I received eight perfect stalks! For those who don’t know, you need to cut a bit off of the bottom of the stalk and peel off the outer leaves to expose a fresh part of the stalk that will easily root. I will probably stick them in dirt before they even root because I’ve always had good luck with that method, but for now, this beautiful lemongrass is sitting in my kitchen in about an inch of water. I recommend this supplier!

I didn’t rate the flavor for this Lemongrass, because I haven’t used it to cook with, I purchased it for Mosquito control. However, by the look of these beautiful stalks, I would think they produce great flavor. These are very high quality stalks, as they were when I purchased them last year. I will be rooting them in water then planting outside for Mosquito deterrent. I love these plants, they grew very well last year and I’m sure, by the quality of the stalks, they will perform wonderfully this year. Received them so much sooner then I had expected. Great Seller 🙂

These cuttings are large and so healthy. Very impressive! I followed the rooting directions and now have beautiful roots on all of the cuttings. When it warms up more I’ll start hardening them off and then plant them outside in my garden. These are superb cuttings. I would buy from this outfit again in a heartbeat.

I received 8 stalks, as promised, all of which were large, fresh and healthy looking. They were well-packaged. I will be planting these for future use, so I can’t comment on flavor, but they smell fresh and delightful. I doubt I’ll have any trouble getting them to grow- I’ve done it before with a batch from a different supplier which were not nearly as healthy and large as these.
Grow, little stalks, and we will enjoy a happy future together of tasting cooking and delicious homemade tonic water!

I needed the lemongrass for a recipe..and when I got it, it did not look like the picture..it was all brown and gross looking. I cut off the gross parts and used what I could and the recipe turned out okay. But I would not purchase again.

So, I placed my order Oct.30. They arrived in my mailbox 10 days later, very appropriately wrapped and in good health. I was very surprised to find that they came directly from Thailand to my home in Florida. Whenever I travel overseas I like to sneak cutting or seeds in my suitcase and worry about getting caught by immigration who hate for us to import vegetation. Apparently customs passed the lemongrass without any problems!!! Yeah!!
Anyway, as soon as they arrived I unpacked the 8 stalks and stuck them in water. Today is 5 days later and all of the stalks have started to sprout!!!!
I am so thrilled with this and look forward to seeing the fresh leaves pop out from the top. I plan to plant these so I can enjoy a lifetime of this wonderful fresh, therapeutic herb. Thanks Franz Market for a job well done and for making me a happy little camper 🙂 GOD BLESS!

This lemon grass was delivered either the 7th. or 8th. of October. I immediatelt trimmed the bottoms of the plant and removed any brown leaves. As per instructions, I put the stalks in three glass jars with 2″ of water and put them in a very sunny spot. I was NOT very good about changing the water in the jars every day as suggested; perhaps every three days.
The first stalk sprouted roots within ten days and the rest followed at their own irregular pace. Today, the 31st. of October, I planted the last stalk to sprout roots. So in 20 or 21 days ten of the ten stalks I purchased are viable and thriving and instead of going in an Asian stew will become a hedge in a sunny but sheltered place in my yard.
Thank you . I am truly impressed.

I have successfully used lemon grass bug repellent before. When I saw these touted in an article to ward off mosquitoes, I perked up and thought I’d try it. I ordered them on April 28 stalks arrived in about 3-4 days from CA and were well packaged. I live in the DFW area of Texas. I must have missed the instructions but, luckily, another reviewer repeated them in her review. At first, I stuck them in a couple of glasses of water, but a week later nothing much was happening, which is when I found the other reviewer’s instructions. I, then, trimmed the base of the stalks and started refreshing the water but not every day—every 3 days. It is now May 17 and the stalks have roots and have new shoots on top (see pics). Now, I just need to plant them. So far so good!
