No leaks, perfect.
Bernini1 –
Perforations not good. Getting a bag off the roll tears thru the bag.

I can understand that this bag needs to be degradable to add to the compost but it starts degrading in the bin. It leaks every time and I have to clean the bin every time I remove the bag.

So my experience has been that these bags do leak, so you will need to clean out the bin, but it’s a huge improvement over no bag. All the compost stays in the bag so disposal is easy. The fluid that remains is discolored, but easy to clean. So far, I like it and would recommend using these. Just be aware some clean up will be needed.

These compost bags leak through so quickly that I have to use two bags in the compost bin. Even then, by the time the bag is full, sometimes the bin is wet. They are also difficult to pull off the roll at the perforations without tearing the ties. I’ll be going back to the bags I used to use.

I like the drawstring feature on this compost bag, which makes removing it easier. Sturdiness of the bag is fair: a lot better than some I’ve tried. Dispensing is a little awkward because of the way it is folded, but not a deal breaker. I wiil be purchasing again.

Plan to double bag as any moisture and these don’t last more than a day in the compost bin. Will be buying something thicker next go around.

I’ve tried many bags for our daily indoor compost over the years. At a guess, I’d say probably 15 different bags of different sizes, closures, brands, claims…
These are the best so far. Sturdy, no leaks. Drawstrings!
They’re small, 1.6 gal, so make sure that’s the size you’re looking for.
Unless I find out that these are actually hurting the environment in some way, I can’t see switching back to any of the others I’ve tried.

I had really high hopes for these bags having tried a BUNCH of others in my small trash can and compost bin. I think this might have been fine if there was no draw string (why, why do you feel the need to add this “feature”?)
But the addition of the draw string made the perforations separating the bags non existent, and created resistance to tearing, so the bags tear when I try to separate it. And no matter how slowly I tried to separate it, it never separates without tearing the bag itself in half.
I ended up having to break out scissors to separate a bag, and even then, it was torn a bit.
In frustration, I tried a different roll, with mildly better result, then another, and then all 5 rolls. Some are slightly better than others, but none tear smoothly.
DO NOT BUY!
