Top quality, fantastic taste, perfect texture, and worth every$. These are not crunchy dry. They are perfect for pizza, merry me chicken and dips. And if you don’t use them as quickly, freeze them. Works perfect.

I liked the flavor and moistness. But I have had unsulphured sun dried tomatoes and they can be great. They are darker (almost black) and dryer, the former of which people here complain about but which never produce the flatulence heavily sulphured dried fruits do. The box says “Packed in California”. “Grown in California” is not stated. I wonder. Turkish sun dried tomatoes I have gotten are always very salty- no thanks. We will finish the second 10lbs we have ordered lately and look for unsulphured.

The first time I bought these, I really loved the flavor and snacked on them for a couple weeks before they were gone. Perfect amount of sweet and the tomatoes each looked perfect. Texture was great.
Second time buying them was a HUGE disappointment. I saw the bag looked dark and was prepared to eat them even if they were brown. The brown ones were “okay”. Then I realized half of them were black. Not dark brown, not nearly black, but pure 100% matte black. I couldn’t bring myself to eat one of them. I have no idea what I’d be eating. I wasn’t upset about it until I found these are UNRETURNABLE. I’ve bought other dried fruits and was able to get replacements when the product came in moldy. These took two days to ship. I know they looked bad from the day they were shipped out.
Then add in the fact that the bags are huge and yet not vacuum sealed. Then add the fact that they are shady as to whether or not their tomatoes would contain a California Prop 65 warning for lead… And I almost clicked the subscription button for these. But if I may lose out on $15 every other purchase, or more, no tomatoes are worth that much…

Updating. I was contacted by the company and given a full refund. Updating the review for good customer service. I hope they take a bit more care in their shipments.

Very mild flavor, nice but not robust or intense like I had expected from sun-dried tomatoes- my use was making pesto. Consider this depending on your intended use.

I liked the smaller size bags of the Traina sun-dried tomatoes so much that I upsized to the 2 lb bag. (And I just used the last of that bag last night and promptly ordered the 5 lb bag). These are truly sun-dried tomatoes — actually dry (not moist like those imported from Turkey), with an intense, bright, fresh tomato flavor. They really are “dried” so expect them to be chewy. I have tried both the julienned and halves versions and I now go with the halves because they are more versatile. I can always cut them up myself. I use the halved tomato slice on top of crackers (try layering the cracker with a slice of pepperoni or olive tapenade, a sundried tomato half, and a round of cut up string cheese, and microwave or broil until cheese melts for a quick flavorful lunch). These are worth the price.

Quality was good but to sweet for what I use them for, gave them to an elderly widow who said they work great in soup.

BEAUTIFUL!The color is bloody red which is good for health. Make sure to keep them fresh! Sort them first the same as you buy fresh tomatoes. Use the riped ones first. Then the rest in freezer or in glass jars/bottles, submerging with vinegar or olive oil. i plan to cook them with scallops. en…. the white and red color. yummy.
thanks so very much Traina for providing such nice choice for us. thanks again for doing the hard work and keeping our life easier. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

After opening I tasted them they are so fresh and tasty and can be used in so many different ways would recommend if you want to add flavor to most any meal.

I found these to have a very fresh taste and the perfect texture. They were appropriately soft and chewy. They are consistent in size so it works well for prepping meals and they slice easily for making julienne strips. I will definitely order these again.
