I travelled through Vietnam a while ago and love their coffee with condensed milk. Thought I would purchase this product especially because it was stainless steel. This product is made from aluminium or some other cheap metal and its not a product I would make food in.

The filter is not aluminum and they are tricky about it. They say “stainless steel” but in their description out of the view of a person scanning over quickly, it says “aluminum filter”. My filter turned black and now smells horrible after coming out of the dish washer

Very pretty and. This is a traditional aluminum filter, way better than the stainless steel one.

Very nice vietnamese coffee maker! Does exactly what it supposed to and the engravings are a nice addition. Very light weight, would be good for backpacking.

Yes, I knew it was aluminum when I purchased, but no way to tell how THICK the aluminum was. If it WERE thick enough, it would be fine, that is NOT the case. It’s not gonna last and will probably bend / fold over at some point unless you baby it.

The description states that this is stainless steel, it is in fact aluminum. Did not use it before returning it, so the rating is only for the misleading description.
