I had been wanting to get a letter opener for awhile now and this one seem to fit what I was looking for. I didn’t need anything super fancy, nor did I need it to be an heirloom piece. Just wanted something with a decent weight to it that would get the job done, and this letter opener has been doing that just fine. I’m super happy with my purchase.

I purchased this opener in February 2022. It is now October 2022 and it no longer *smoothly* opens letters with the same ease.
Upon purchase the edges of the opener were more rounded than they appear in the pictures. I had a lot of fun while it was new, but the edges are so blunt now that I could use a sharpened pencil to open the mail just as effectively.
Having said that, it does assist with opening the mail, as intended.. but, if you are looking for something to make it easy on your hands/wrists, I would pick something else.
The style is lovely and difficult to match. I really like the sleek and modern look. It has a good weight to it and the handle is easy to hold. Honestly, I just really wish it was sharper or stayed at least as ‘sharp’ as it arrived.

I have never been a fan of letter openers. I always found them large, bulky and more of a problem. This unit is slightly smaller and very ergonomically designed making it easy to hold and use. It is well constructed and very sturdy. Highly recommend

I ordered another, cheaper mail opener before this one and it broke right away. This one, in contrast, is sturdy and works great. If I had it to do over again, I would skip the cheap version and just get this one. It has been working great for six months and shows no sign of wear.

Bought this to replace a letter opener that I had for years and lost. First (and only) impression is that it is too small (read: slender) for larger hands like mine. I’m keeping it because it does the job and returning it would be a waste of my time, but there are better ones out there. My suggestion would be to keep looking.
