The beans are consistent and clean, no debris in the bag. I made one batch of a lighter roast and one dark roast past second crack and both were excellent. The dark roast was extremely smooth and flavorful, but not too acidic. The lighter roast had a more leafy/natural flavor. I prefer the darker roast, but mixed together this gave an excellent cup of coffee. Great price as well, will buy again.

price is not matching with the freshness of the beans. they are so dried. and I had really hard to time to get first crack. I had to finish roasting cracking just stop after cracks of around 20% of beans. not going to buy from them.
update. raised to 2 star. it is a bit better when I roasted until city roast (about to starting the second crack) but I still think this beans are old and not workth the price

Came w the bag opened and beans spilling into the amazon box it arrived in. Beans were falling out the sides of the box. When I weighed it was just over 1lb. Beans have clearly been left in a moist environment and were impossible to get a decent roast.

Sweet, smooth. I’ve tried a few different brands and regions and so far this is our favorite. Great cup of coffee no matter the roast. We’ve had it as a medium from the end of the first crack all the way to a full city + and they’re all great. A medium is a tiny bit tart yet still very smooth and a little sweet. A full city + minimal acidity and incredibly creamy and smooth. This is a mild to medium cup of coffee and I have found it to be a bit bolder and more flavorful after sitting. Straight from the drip, it’s very mild. After sitting for 20-30 minutes in a warming craft, not on a hot plate, it gets little bit darker and quite a bit more flavorful. This is the best, most diverse coffee I’ve roasted to date.

It was my first time roasting coffee and I thought I’d give this a shot as it had a lot of positive reviews from others roasting their own.
I roasted a few batches – some into the 2nd crack and others just at 2nd crack. The aroma is strong with this coffee – and the flavor is great, too. But it’s really smooth – it doesn’t hit you like a truck like the aroma might have you thinking it will… but the flavor really comes on after you’ve taken your drink.
I’ve read reviews of other green coffees having inconsistent sizes or other debris in them – this did not have that. The sizing of the beans was very consistent and there was no debris in the bag.
Delicious coffee. Worth the purchase. I’ll be buying again once I run out – which may be sooner than later, as the people around the office were really surprised with the flavor as well.

Roasting my own coffee with these beans has been a game changer ,it has an abundance of flavor I didn’t know existed. I love this coffee and have bought it more than once , I recommended it to everyone whose tried it

My second roast, in popcorn popper so I could hear the cracks. This coffee still LOOKS like “light roast” when the second crack comes on. It also seems to grind finer than other beans at the same setting on the same grinder. Not sure “how” that is? The beans are smaller…maybe grinding MORE? But 10g’s of these almost stops up my machine where 10gs of others do not.
The aroma is all they said “chocolaty and nutty”. The flavor was still “sharp” on the first shot but when I chased some birthday cake with a shot…REALLY good for that.
I gotta work on single shots with this one. I keep getting “over whelmed”. Not ready to “blame” the bean yet. Either I’m not doing it right or I’m not the right guy for this bean. That might be two versions of the same statement. 🤣

My first roast was in the oven; about “full city”; hard telling…couldn’t hear the cracks and the chaff & oven window makes it hard to see the bean.
The taste as a coffee was “good”; nothing too much either way to appreciate.
As “espresso” it has an AMAZING crema, but a very sharp flavor; not a fan of that.
I’ll work on the roasting; it might be my fault.
Beans are small, I agree with everybody else on that. This one ground very finely too; be a result of over roasting?

My first foray into roasting my own coffee beans! These green beans were suitable and coffee tasted fine. I do think the next time, I will let them roast a little bit longer, to get them darker.

I won’t be buying that again, seemed like very old beans
Bean size was uniform so well screened but beans seemed to be old or stored for a long time
I tried a number of different roasts from light to dark and also brewed Each batch with different amounts but coffee was Always Very weak, so good for those that want “tea” thin coffee not so good for A cup of “Real” coffee

Admittedly, the first roast didn’t come out exactly as planned. Some beans are not as forgiving as others. It took a couple more tries to get the temperature just right for 1st crack and then adjust it to get to 2nd crack and cool it quickly thereafter. Once I got it down I got a very tasty result and, by the way, the beans were very uniform in size and shape and were clean and healthy looking. I thought I’d better submit a review to see if I could legitmately balance out what the first reviewer said.
