I wished to use these to bag leaves from my leaf ‘vacuum’. Bag completely fell apart, tearing into many pieces when I tried to pick it up after bagging. Don’t waste your money. I’m going back to paper lawn bags. What a disappointment to someone trying to use the right recycle products.

Does the job! Sturdy enough for my yard debris. It might not be durable enough for my big pine cones but I am happy it handles the leaves and pine straw.

Good for garden waste

I bagged plants, mulch, and other garden waste. Note that these begin to decompose rapidly, especially in wet conditions. It was less than a week from the time I filled them to putting them out for pick up, and they had started to deteriorate. Obviously, that’s white we want them to do but, they fell apart too quickly.

Bags are great. They’re so degradable that when I left a bag of leaves out for 10 days it started to break down!

These work, and they are a great value for the money. They are not as strong as some plastic bags I’ve used, but they are sturdy and easy to work with. Giving up and my new amount of starting us for knowing that I’m not putting more plastic in the landfills is a fair trade. How can you beat being environmentally friendly with a quality product at a reasonable price? Bravo!

The city made a new law (on of the ones they will enforce cause they can fine a homeowner) about lawn waste and it required this kind of bag for overflow waste. I really didn’t have high hopes but it has a nice holder/dispenser and is a solid bag that does not rip. My only concern is how long the shelf life is. I have a large roll of plastic bags that is over 10 years old and like new, not sure these will get used before they degrade and not sure how that helps save the world but my city counsel sure has it figure out <grin>

I made the mistake of not reading the instructions completely. it said to use them within 9 months of purchase. i just now found where i had stored them after 11 months. and i wanted to use them to contain my leaves. They are absolutely worthless! i tried to use the first one on the roll and it just tore apart. i had to carefully use the next bag on the roll to double bag the one load of leaf clippings from my lawnmower. i just want to let people know that the bags will break down very quickly!!

I’m excited to find degradable trash bags haven’t had any problem with leaks or tears

Went through two trash cycles to make sure the compostable trash bags will last. Quite impressed with the durability but there will need to be a change in how these bags are used compared to plastic bags. I was able to put the usual amount of household trash in the bags so the durability is great but noticed if there were wet items on the bag the bag would start to compost and create holes in the bag between trash days. We use a plastic liner to hold the bag and this will keep the wet items from getting on the sides and we are mindful about putting wet items on the bottom at least at the beginning when the bag is empty. The slight change in how we use the bags is not a big deal and we definitely feel good about not contributing to plastic bags in the land fill.
