I had high hopes for this sauce and unfortunately they weren’t met. I found the gochujang flavor to be quite subtle and the heat to be nonexistent. I wasn’t expecting this to be a spicy hot sauce by any means, but I just find the gochujang flavor quite faint for something labeled as such.
That being said, this is a pretty versatile and good sauce in its own right. I see it as a savory barbecue sauce. Whether you’re cooking with it or using it for drizzling or dipping with, there’s nothing that comes to mind that this sauce won’t pair well with.
As a gochujang sauce, I can’t recommend this sauce or see it as such.
But as just a sweet sauce? This is great!

This isn’t terrible, it’s a good sauce but it’s not true gochijang sauce. As someone deep in Korean culture, this seems like a mix of general tsos plus a Lil gochujang paste. Not gochujang enough for me, but it’s still ok. This is a sweet taste with a hint of gochu. Like general tsos plus gochu or something. Taste the smaller Korean Gochujang sauces (not the paste) and then adjust this appropriately, this should be way thicker and spicier. I will gladly purchase more if you make it more authentic.

It is exactly what I was looking for. When Poke Bowl decided to limit any given topping to two tiny spoon fulls, I decided to start making my own and the only thing I was missing was the “Sweet Chili Sauce” they had. I found this and it is pefect!

Just the right amount of space. The size is great for making large quantities of wings.

I had tried a gochujang sauce in a Korean taco before and it was so delicious but had never been able to recreate the sauce. However this sauce is a perfect dupe for it!! It’s slightly spicy and sweet. Reminds me of a more complex teriyaki but spicy and just all around better. I love this on everything and it makes everything taste better.

We originally tried this sauce with an Asian dish, and it didn’t exactly fit the flavor profile we were expecting. When we put it on wings, it was fantastic! With a slightly Asian teriyaki flavor with a barbecue-like spicy kick, it was perfect for wings. It was a nice addition to our Super Bowl wing spread.

I’m not the most well versed in Asian cuisine, but I expected a mere facsimile of what I’ve had at restaurants. That, of course, was due to the expectations set by sauces I bought at local grocery stores.
This is pretty much exactly what I wanted. It’s a very versatile sauce and the flavor is on par with what I ate at restaurants. It’s not too spicy, but that’s a subjective judgement.
The value is there, might as well give it a try.

This is more like a dipping sauce than straight up Gochujang. It has sugar added to it, which a lot of recipes that call for Gochujang may also ask for brown sugar to be added to it. With this sauce you don’t need to add the extra sugar, it’s already ready, that means it is also sweet. There is no heat to this sauce so it makes it good for use with anything you want to upgrade. But if you like heat, you will have to add it separately.
There are no instructions on the bottle stating how it is to be stored – refrigerated or pantry. I would think refrigeration because that’s what you do with Gochujang after opening, same with ketchup and bbq sauce, but again, there is nothing stated. The product description does state that it is shelf stable…but is that before or after opening?

This is a delicious sauce that has a blend flavor of sweet and spicy. I like spicy flavor, so I use this sauce as the dipping sauce for air fried chicken wings and chicken nuggets. I usually heat the sauce a bit in the microwave before using it, which makes the sauce tastier, I think. The sauce is free from high fructose corn syrup, caramel color and MSG, so it is a healthier choice. Overall, this is a cost-effective and good condiment to have in your dinning room.
