Vietnamese Lemongrass BBQ is a Vietnamese family party staple. Sweet, aromatic pork or tofu grilled in the summer sun. Served atop rice noodles with fresh veggies and herbs, lemongrass BBQ is fragrant and ever so sumptuous.

Makes delicious food and very easy to use

No complaints here. I thought it was going to be more flavorful and taste more of miso than it did. But it had a perfectly balanced nice flavor. I can’t imagine anyone not liking it. It is amazingly difficult to find any Miso glaze type product anywhere, and I think we all want some. If it came in a nice- sized bottle instead of three larger packets? I would give it 5 stars. It’s overpriced for the amount you get, and the packets are inconvenient because maybe you don’t need an entire one or you need one and a half. An opened packet is messy and could be impossible to save for later use. Would I buy it again? As long as it’s the only one I can find? Yes.

Marinated chicken with it, then coated chicken with flour and cornstarch and deep fried in cooking olive oil. Will make again, excellent

Very disappointed, it’s no taste only taste was hot. The quantity was a little not cover the amount of meat that they recommended to mix with which enough for single serve. I won’t purchase again, not worth for money.

I’m half Thai and my mom made Larb quite frequently. I know this because it was my job to toast the rice grains in our cast iron skillet and stirring it constantly so it didn’t burn, and then grinding it up with a mortar and pestle. If that sounds like hard labor you wouldn’t be wrong. So I’ve never made this at home because I can’t enlist a child to do this grueling exercise. And then I heard about Omsom’s Larb starter that includes the all important toasted rice powder! It’s almost everything you need in the liquid starter as well. The only thing you need is ground chicken or pork (I use pork because that’s what I grew up with), and FRESH herbs (cilantro, scallion, shallot, mint). No fancy chopping needed for the herbs. The mint take the Larb to the next level but I personally feel it’s not a deal breaker if you can’t easily find mint at your supermarket. It is extremely easy to make thanks to the starter and like homemade Larb tastes even better the next day. It’s not as good as my mom used to make but it’s very good especially for not being much work.
I think for some variety you could use this with thinly sliced beef (like flank steak) and make Nam Tok (Thai beef salad).

We love this sauce. It is not spicy at all and is so tasty. Our kid gobbles up chicken thighs marinated in this and grilled on the barbecue. Amazon sends them in plastic envelopes so the thin boxes get crushed and pouches inside burst/tear. I also only had 2 months before expiry with this lot. I am going to order from Omsom directly in the future for better value and packaging.

This was on backorder for about a month. When it arrived the box was a bit mangled and the expiration date is a little over a week from now. Not sure who’s to blame Amazon or Omsom. I would give more stars otherwise. We like the product.

I use this to make make chicken breast in my air fryer and it tastes just as good as our local Vietnamese restaurant. One question: why is the eight pack more expensive per unit than the three pack?

So I love these sisters who make this brand. I have tried a bunch of their products and follow on IG. I thought I would give this a try since I love making Kra Pow Gow (sp?) I use ground chicken and fresh basil.
Correction~ I don’t LOVE making it since it is so many ingredients for the sauce and a trip to the asian market for Thai chilis and Thai Basil if possible. So, I wanted to see how close could this sauce stand in for mine from scratch.
Okay, it was not as DARK as mine, I almost added a second sauce packet but checked the flavor first & the packet that it said for 1lb of meat. It was a slow “Pow!” Thank goodness I didn’t add another packet. The flavor was really there! but I added Dark soy Sauce~I already have, and Brown Sugar and then some broth on hand in the firdge to try to tame that kick of heat. It was even better but~this packet really delivers that flaavor if you are missing it. I did start with Thinly sliced Shallot in a bit of oil before adding the ground chicken. Then this sauce packet~ but first, get your rice going. At the end, just julliene up some fresh basil leaves for the end and mix through and you have a cozy bowl of dinner.
