Wang Japchae Sauce is a tasty sauce blend that goes well in stir fry and can be used as a seasoning sauce for Japchae, but I personally wouldn’t call it “Japchae Sauce”. This sweet and savory sauce has good flavor, although there were some flavors that I detected that is normally not in japchae such as oyster and anchovy sauce. Typically, japchae is made with a simple sauce consisting of soy sauce, honey/sugar, sesame seed oil, sesame seeds, garlic, and black pepper. This sauce had a slightly more complex flavor, but not necessarily in a good way. I also didn’t particularly like how this sauce utilizes MSG and corn syrup for saltiness and sweetness. There’s a good number of stabilizers in the sauce as well, which makes sense because it’s a shelf stable product, but it would’ve been nice to have a simpler ingredients list. As far sauce goes, I thought it was decent for stir frying or adding a sweetness to noodle dishes, but it’s not something I would buy again.

Look I’m not Korean, I’m Hispanic so they’re might be a better tasting brand ready made Japchae sauce out there but I haven’t found one yet. If you know of a better one please let your girl know in your review, I always look for other recommendations!
I love Korean food so many new flavors and the spicy options yumm!
During the pandemic I was stuck at home and pretty much all restaurants seemed to be closed or you heard of a bunch of going to an open one and everyone ending up sick.
During that time I decided if I couldn’t go to a restaurant then I’d learn to make it myself, took a ton of trial an error.
Wrong noodle type, wrong ingredients.
Ended up going to H-mart and ask the Oma’s I’d see if they could direct me in the right direction thankfully super nice got help found the right noodles and ran into this bottle and it’s so freaking close to the flavor I’m used to that it’s become my go to. I moved and haven’t found a market yet so I was glad to find this on here. Now I just have to find a good kimchi again sigh..wish me luck! Lol

I made a stir fry dish with sweet potato noodles and it was delicious!

This is hands down the best japchae sauce. It mixes easily into your noodles, and it has just the right amount of flavors to balance everything out in your dish. I will regularly be purchasing this item.

I dislike that I received it with the top popped. I recieved it in one day I used it and hoped we wouldn’t get sick from it. So far so good!

Gave me the taste I’m been craving for.

Very good brand; already known.

Good flavor . I like the consistency of the sauce. It’s enough to give the noodles the flavor w/o preparing a lot of ingredients.

Really good japchae sauce! Just like you would eat in a nice Korean bbq. Got several meals out of the bottle, as a little goes a long way. It was just a bit pricey is all, or I would have given it 5 stars.
