These are not just robusta beans, but also soy beans, coffee flavor, butter and caramel (see photo). This was mentioned no where in the description, and I can’t stand flavored coffees and would have never ordered if I would have known. And the item is not returnable. Very upsetting!

I didn’t see the ingredients before purchasing or I wouldn’t have – soybeans? Butter? I know about adding fat like butter or oil to coffeee to help feeling satiated, I don’t think I’d purchase again w/o it being organic and I really don’t like and am fully aware of the change cheating consumers in weights and measurements. What happened to coffeee in 1pound packages? We’re getting 12 oz for slightly less than what we paid a pound for. I like true robusta coffee beans – not the style of roasting but beans—time for other coffee growers other than Vietnamese to grow and compete.

The description here didn’t mention that this isn’t pure coffee, but rather a flavored blend. See the image I’ve attached. I’m not necessarily downgrading the product for that as mixing coffee with other stuff is fairly common in Vietnam; but I feel it should have been shared above.
As for the actual product: the aroma of the beans themselves reminds me of Folgers. Slightly burnt notes and with a somewhat nutty/buttery thing from, I guess, the included butter.
In the cup, brewed according to the instructions on the bag: the burnt aroma is emphasized, and there’s a grain taste, which I guess came from the soybeans in the blend. I regularly drink Korean oksusu cha — corn tea — and drinking this coffee reminds me of that same flavor.
After the first sip, which to be honest I found offputting, I felt something compelling about this coffee and kept drinking. But it’s nothing like what I’ve had from Vietnamese restaurants, and I always love the coffee I get there.
All in all interesting and unlike anything I’ve had before. Hard to say if it’s objectively good or bad; maybe just not my thing.

It has a dessert/chocolate taste to it. So yummy and its aroma is energizing. It’s a good coffee to pick you up in the morning or to pair it with sweet dessert. Highly recommend it!
