I like that I can put my compostable slops in the bag and keep the bag in the refrigerator for a few days even a week or so and when full I just throw the entire thing into the compost. The bag holds a lot of food waste.
I originally used a reusable Ziploc bag. It was only a third of the size of these bags and it would get full and I have to take it out to the compost and then I’d have to bring it in and wash the bag or else it would stink in my refrigerator.
I will continue to use these as long as they’re available.
They have held up well in the refrigerator but break down in the compost.

I have now used about 6 of these for wet kitchen trash. No leaks, no breaks, despite a few loads with some sharp bones.
The only reason I give these a 4 is the closure problem. With no draw string, or handles (as on the “single use” bags we used to get in the store, but which are now illegal in NY) the only way to securely close the bag is to squoosh the trash down as far as possible, twirl and tie a half hitch. Thus, a 2.5 quart bag becomes 1.5 quart.
These bags are far, far cheaper than anything I saw in the grocery store, plus I love that they’re biodegradable. I will certainly buy again, but I’ll go to the 4 quart size.
I would hope the manufacturer will consider draw strings or handles. If handles, of course they could market these to stores in New York State and we could cease having to pack our own groceries in our own bags.

I bought the 8 gallon size and it fit perfectly in my litter robot 4 drawer and a new dual trashcan that I just purchased that holds both trash and recycle material. So far I’ve had no leakage problems and the price is good for compostable trash bags.

I use these for my robot litter box. They’re pretty thin and can rip easily. They fit well inside the box, though. It is unavoidable that the first bag of the roll rips every time because of the sticker they put on bag to keep the roll together.

I try to avoid use of plastic noncompostable bags as much as possible. I got these initially to use with a Litter Robot 4. They fit well enough and are sturdy enough to not break when carrying the load to the trash bin.

An easy switch from plastic trash bags to compostable bags.
They’re equally strong and effective and no down side. A no brainer for me

These work just as well as plastic kitchen trash bags and I feel good knowing they are compostable.

These are made out of a slightly different material from other compostable trash bags I’ve tried — they’re sort of crinkly, rather than silky.
The silky kind always ripped/leaked on me, and I had to double up. These pretty much never rip or leak, and I only double up when I’ve accidentally got too much liquid in the bag.

This product is not made of plastic. In my endeavor not to use plastic as much as is possible I use this product. It is not as durable as plastic so I just have to be mindful not to poke holes in it, generally done when I put sharp objects in it. I have been using these bags for well over a year and already have ordered them twice. They are also a lovely shade of green which I like. I plan to keep ordering them as long as they are available.

These bags have consistently been a good value and have held up. Our town requires us to compost and I have been using these in the collection can year round. Would be nice if they were made in the USA.
