Thank You

I have purchased this product several times. Up until this time, I was very happy with this product. This time, the craisins are chewier and less tasty than in the past. I still plan to buy this product when I run low to check whether it was just this batch that was not as good.

Pleasantly surprised. They are actually far less sweet than the other brands I’ve tried, which is nice. But they’re not bitter or sour. Much closer to the taste and smell of home made cranberry sauce actually. The texture is more dry and less oily than other brands as well. They’re not leathery or overly chewy either. I’d say these are my new favorite dried cranberries. We’ve used them in baked goods and added into oatmeal, as well as eaten out of hand. Yum.

Went for the big bag to try to save a little money and the flavor of these cranberries is really fantastic. You can tell immediately that there is less sugar and sense some of the tartness. Now perhaps you don’t notice it as much if you purchase a smaller bag, and I have noticed that there are some clumps here and there and those spots can be a little bit sweeter from a bunch sticking together.
But, if you are looking for an option with less sugar and tastes good – this is it.

Bought in July and reordering today. Use to make my own trail mix with nuts, etc… Just the right amount of sugar mixed with the nuts with the soft cranberry treat.
My only reservation is that the cranberries seems to have developed an odor that I’m noticing in the container I put them in and only after a few months of storage. I did this as the bag packaging just won’t do (poor reseal mechanism, IMHO), so perhaps it’s the plastic container? I’ll try the refrigerator next time too, which is how I used to store them (other vendors) in the past.

Bajos en azúcar y los de menos ingredientes añadidos, me gustaron que fueran Kosher.

WHY the SUGAR?? Actually bummed about the SUNFLOWER OIL as well…Wish it was OLIVE OIL, the ONLY OIL WE SHOULD CONSUME, for our health! Recent studies have found OILS over SUGAR are deadly to our health…HOWEVER, THIS BRAND HAS THE LEAST AMOUNT OF added sugar, I COULD FIND! The pkg reads: “TOTAL SUGARS 14g INCLUDES 9g Added Sugars 17%”. Very MOIST, DELICIOUS & THE WHOLE CRANBERRY!! “A recent study evaluating cranberries for brain health shows that daily consumption can improve memory in older adults. Two types of flavonoids that are present in cranberries, anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins, are known for their brain health-boosting properties. Anthocyanins are a group of powerful antioxidants that fight the effects of aging by reducing oxidative stress. Other studies show anthocyanin can improve age-related deficits that affect neural&behavioral parameters, including motor functions and memory.”~~Dr. Josh Axe

This review is for the Food to Live dried cranberries (1.5 lbs). I purchased this product with my own money and was offered a nominal gift card for a review, which does not impact my opnion.
The packaging is generous and holds the beautiful cranberries with a zipper seal. The cranberries themselves are as attractive as they are in the photos, red and mostly whole, somewhat plump for being dried. I only occasionally find a cranberry seed. They are not noticeably oily, but definitely sweetened. The sweetness is mostly detectable compared to more bitter or plain products (dark chocolates, plain oatmeal, mixed with other unsalted nuts, etc) not so much when added to baked goods. These are nice to add to water for infusing, which reveals that these cranberries come from wholesome fruits instead of discard fruit.
I would love to see an unsweetened version of this product, since I love tart foods and watch my sugar intake.
